Alex Crowe offers Rosen Method bodywork sessions in London.
Alex Crowe is a fully qualified practitioner of Rosen Method and a member of the Rosen Institute, the body that sets standards for and regulates the profession worldwide. He trained with the UK Rosen school, a process that generally takes at least five years. RI members are required to have suitable professional indemnity insurance and to adhere to a Code of Ethics.
Alex has also been studying, practising and teaching a range of approaches to body-mind integration for over 15 years. After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, he diverted from a career in government to pursue his interests in movement and somatic practices. Alongside his work in Rosen Method, he is also a performer and teacher of movement and improvisation, teaching in both community and university settings, and his work in this area involves both artistic and therapeutic aspects. He holds a Certificate in Dance Movement Therapy and is a certified teacher of Skinner Releasing, a somatic movement training technique. Underlying all of his work is a commitment to the ongoing practice of Buddhist meditation.
“I have been inspired and fascinated by Rosen since the first session I received. I had been exploring creativity, expression, healing and spirituality for some years, but encountering Rosen was something of a revelation: I had never experienced anything both so gentle and so direct. It gave me a strong sense of an emotional connectedness and aliveness that I had been looking for, and showed me very clearly that it was a matter of how I am in my body.
Pursuing Rosen since then has opened up many unexpected insights, sometimes through very powerful experiences, both about myself and about the nature of mind and body, and has convinced me of its power to facilitate growth and positive transformation.”
